Just North of Kathmandu is Ganesh Himal region newly opened Ruby Valley Trek, It is so named because it is the only place in Nepal where beautiful commercial grade rubies are found. They farm on their small, traditional farms that terrace the hillsides, creating flat land in a place where flat land is almost non-existent.

Pang Sang Pass is an incredible mountain pass that you will cross to reach the Valley. From its lofty heights, you will see the Himalayas in all four directions, including the mountains in Tibet. The panoramic view from this viewpoint is second to none for amazing beauty in all of Nepal.
